Singer DAWN (던) has opened up about his honest thoughts on relationships during his recent guest appearance on the hit reality show TVING’s Transit Love 4.
Episodes 6 and 7, released on October 22, featured DAWN as a special guest. Host Lee Yong-jin asked whether this marked his first public appearance since completing military service. DAWN replied, “Yes, this is my first broadcast since then.”
Lee Yong-jin added that producers had invited him since earlier seasons, to which DAWN candidly responded, “At the time, I wasn’t in a situation to do it,” indirectly referring to a past breakup. Fellow panelist Simon Dominic lightened the mood, joking, “He’s being honest already!”
When asked whether he would be more open to reuniting with an ex or meeting someone new, DAWN replied, “I’ve never reached out, and even if someone does, I never reply. I don’t understand that. Once we break up, that’s it. Even if we meet again, I feel like it would end the same way.”
Later in the episode, DAWN showed empathy during an emotional moment when a female participant cried after seeing her ex with another person. Lee Yong-jin asked if he could relate to that feeling, and DAWN softly replied, “I think I can understand that emotion,” prompting laughter when Lee jokingly apologized for the sensitive question.
DAWN and singer HyunA publicly dated from 2016 until announcing their breakup in 2022. HyunA later married singer Yong Jun-hyung in October 2024.
