Singer and television personality Kim Heechul of Super Junior has celebrated his 20th debut anniversary with a generous act of kindness — a ₩100 million (approximately USD 72,000) donation to Seoul Asan Hospital.
According to the hospital on November 5, Kim contributed the funds to help improve treatment facilities for cancer patients. The donation will be used to build advanced systems that provide safer and more comfortable medical care for those undergoing treatment.

Marking two decades since his debut in 2005, Kim explained that the milestone felt like the right time to give back.
“I wanted to support patients who are going through painful and difficult times so they can receive treatment in a better environment,” he said.
“Super Junior has received so much love over the past 20 years, and I’m happy that I can return even a small part of that love through this donation.”
Kim Heechul debuted in 2005 as a member of Super Junior, one of the most influential K-pop groups of the 2000s that helped spread the Korean Wave worldwide. Beyond his idol career, Kim has built a successful presence on variety shows such as SBS’s My Little Old Boy and JTBC’s Knowing Bros, where his humor and honesty have earned him a strong following.
Fans and netizens praised his charitable gesture, calling it a “true 20th anniversary gift” and “proof of a warm heart behind the entertainer’s wit.”
