Reply 1988 is bringing viewers back to Ssangmun-dong once again — this time through music.

To mark the drama’s 10th anniversary, production company Studio Maum C announced the release of Reply 1988 10th Anniversary OST Part 2, set to drop on December 26 at 6 p.m. KST across major music platforms. What makes this release especially meaningful is that the original cast members themselves participated as vocalists, reuniting after a decade to recreate the warmth of the beloved series.

The album features two double title tracks, both reinterpretations of iconic songs closely tied to the drama’s emotional core.

The first title track, “Don’t Worry”, is sung by Lee Il-hwa, Ra Mi-ran, and Kim Sun-young — the actresses who portrayed the neighborhood mothers, often referred to as the “Ssangmun-dong moms.” The song preserves the sentiment of the original while adding a soft acoustic nylon guitar arrangement. A group chorus toward the end reflects the characters’ shared stories and unfulfilled moments from the series, offering listeners a deeper emotional resonance.

The second title track, “Hyehwadong (or Ssangmun-dong)”, is performed by the younger cast members: Ryu Hye-young, Hyeri, Go Kyung-pyo, Ryu Jun-yeol, Park Bo-gum, Ahn Jae-hong, Lee Dong-hwi, and Choi Sung-won — the beloved “Ssangmun-dong kids.” The song begins with a nostalgic recorder melody and gradually builds into a heartfelt chorus, with each actor taking turns singing individual parts before coming together in harmony.

Alongside the audio release, music videos will also be unveiled. The video for “Don’t Worry” will be released on December 26 at 6 p.m. KST, followed by the video for “Hyehwadong (or Ssangmun-dong)” at midnight on December 27 via Studio Maum C’s official YouTube channel.

In addition to digital streaming, the anniversary OST will also be released in physical album format.

Ten years after it first aired, Reply 1988 continues to resonate across generations — and this special OST reunion serves as a heartfelt reminder of why Ssangmun-dong still feels like home to so many viewers.
