Actor Kim Nam-gil is once again turning art into action — announcing the return of Korea’s only donation-based performance, “2025 SMG SHOW – Universe Strongest Show.”
According to his agency Gilstory, the event will take place on November 29 at 5 p.m. at Ewha Womans University Grand Auditorium. The show carries the theme “When you enjoy the performance, you’re already donating” — with Kim and fellow artists joining entirely through talent donations.

Now in its fourth year, Universe Strongest Show will be held under the theme “Year-End Settlement.” It will combine music, stories, and live talk to reflect on people’s experiences of love, failure, challenge, and growth from around the world. The production promises a rich, heart-warming finale to the year — filled with laughter, empathy, and community spirit.
Kim Nam-gil, who serves as both the event’s host and the founder of the cultural NGO Gilstory, shared:
“I’m happy to close the year with our Gilstory supporters. I hope this concert offers laughter, comfort, and reflection to everyone who worked hard this year. All proceeds will go toward supporting young independent creators preparing for self-reliance.”
Past editions of the SMG SHOW have donated profits to a wide range of causes:
– Public art campaigns promoting Korean heritage and culture,
– The ‘Mal-dongmu’ initiative for animal welfare and rescue, and
– The ‘Strong Day’ program providing meals, counseling, and educational support for children and teens in crisis.
Through Gilstory, Kim Nam-gil has consistently used his platform to amplify social causes, earning him recognition as one of Korea’s leading figures of “good influence.”
