BTS’s Jungkook Lifts Cha Eun-woo in Surprise Appearance at ‘First Ride’ Premiere — A True 97-Line Friendship Moment

A Friendship as Strong as Ever

BTS’s Jungkook proved once again why he’s called the most loyal friend in K-pop.
On October 27, he attended the VIP premiere of the movie First Ride at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Seoul to support his close friend Cha Eun-woo, who stars in the film.

Dressed in a sleek black jacket, Jungkook stole the spotlight when he arrived holding a giant plush doll printed with Cha Eun-woo’s face, lifting it playfully for cameras and sending the crowd into laughter and cheers.

Words of Support for a Friend Heading to the Military

Before the screening, Jungkook told reporters:

“I was curious to see Eun-woo’s acting. He said he filmed it remembering the times we hung out in our early 20s. I’m excited to watch it with that in mind.”

He then added a heartfelt message:

“Eun-woo, always stay healthy and finish your military service safely. Fighting!”

The warm gesture and his bright smile made fans emotional — a simple moment that captured the deep bond between two of Korea’s most beloved idols.

The Famous ’97 Line Friendship

Both born in 1997, Jungkook and Cha Eun-woo are part of the legendary “97 Line” friendship group alongside NCT’s Jaehyun, SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, and GOT7’s Yugyeom.
Jungkook’s public appearance to cheer on his friend further proved the group’s long-standing loyalty and camaraderie.

About Cha Eun-woo’s New Film and Album

In First Ride, Cha Eun-woo plays Yeon-min, a handsome yet complex character who explores youthful temptation and regret — a fresh departure from his usual clean-cut image.
He will also release his second solo mini album ELSE on November 21, continuing his dual career as an actor and singer.
