NCT members Doyoung and Jungwoo will begin their military service on December 8, according to an official statement from SM Entertainment.
Both Members Begin Service on the Same Day
SM Entertainment confirmed on October 30 that Doyoung will enlist as an active-duty soldier, while Jungwoo has been accepted into the military band. Both will start their service on the same date.
The agency added that there will be no official event or send-off at the enlistment site. “As it is a private occasion attended by many soldiers and families, we ask fans to refrain from visiting in person for safety reasons,” SM said.

A Promise to Return Healthy
SM expressed appreciation for fans’ support, stating, “Please continue to show love and encouragement so Doyoung and Jungwoo can complete their service faithfully and return in good health.”
Continuing Activities Before Enlistment
Both idols have been active not only as part of NCT but also through solo projects and acting roles. They are expected to complete their scheduled individual and group activities before enlisting in December.
Fans have flooded social media with messages of support, praising the two for their dedication and maturity as they prepare for this next chapter.
