NCT’s Doyoung is proving once again that his heart is as generous as his voice. Ahead of his upcoming military enlistment, the singer has donated ₩100 million KRW (approximately $72,000 USD) to support children’s education.
On October 31, international relief and development NGO World Vision announced that Doyoung had contributed the donation to improve educational environments for underprivileged children. The funds will go toward building a new school in Bugondo Village, Mayuge District, Uganda, offering nearly 1,000 students a safe and inspiring place to learn.
A Gift From Fans’ Love
Doyoung explained that the decision came after wrapping up his 2025 DOYOUNG ENCORE CONCERT [Yours], which followed an extensive Asian tour through Japan, Singapore, Macau, Thailand, and Taiwan.
“I wanted to give back some of the love I’ve received from fans all over the world,” he shared. “I hope this school becomes the place where children’s dreams begin.”
Creating a Ripple of Hope
World Vision representatives noted that Doyoung’s donation will directly support the construction of classrooms and facilities for children who have struggled in unsafe or inadequate environments. Beyond providing infrastructure, the project also aims to give children “a space where learning and imagination can thrive.”
