From Hip-Hop Pioneers to Girl Group Creators

On November 3, AOMG unveiled a party invitation–style teaser poster on its official social media channels, announcing the start of the “2025 AOMG Global Crew Audition.” The teaser carried a striking message: “To. All Our Messy Girls.”

The phrase is not only a nod to AOMG’s initials but also a reflection of the label’s creative identity — celebrating individuality, imperfection, and fearless self-expression. The upcoming project aims to build a global girl crew representing a new kind of artistry and authenticity within the K-hip-hop landscape.

A Global Search for Artists Beyond Music

The Global Crew Audition opens doors far beyond traditional idol standards. In addition to vocal, rap, and dance categories, AOMG is also recruiting in Artistry, encompassing visual art, video production, fashion, and music production.

By expanding its scope, AOMG signals that this project is more than a typical idol group debut it’s an art collective, combining music with visual storytelling and street culture.

AOMG 2.0: Rebranding the Future

This new direction follows AOMG’s “2.0 Rebranding” announcement in April, when the label hinted at a new artist launch hidden as an Easter egg. A cryptic “NEWY & Girls” post first teased the idea of a global girl crew, sparking speculation among fans and industry watchers alike.

Founded by Jay Park, AOMG has long been recognized for its influence in hip-hop and R&B, shaping the Korean music scene with artists like Simon Dominic, Gray, Loco, and Lee Hi. Now, with All Our Messy Girls, the label looks ready to redefine what a hip-hop girl group can be bold, creative, and unapologetically messy in the best way possible.

Applications for the 2025 AOMG Global Crew Audition are now open worldwide.

Editor’s Insight

There is a brilliant, calculated risk in a legendary hip-hop label like AOMG stepping into the girl group arena. For over a decade, AOMG has been the gold standard for “cool” a place where individual artistry is protected and street cred is the primary currency. Therefore the label isn’t just making a girl group; they are challenging the very definition of a K-pop idol.
