BOYNEXTDOOR are teaming up with one of the most iconic duos in animation history — Tom and Jerry. To celebrate the cartoon’s 85th anniversary, the group will release a special collaboration single titled “SAY CHEESE!” on November 10 in Japan.

A Tribute to Friendship (and Rivalry)
The track captures the playful spirit of Tom and Jerry — a pair known for their endless chases, comic fights, and undeniable bond. “SAY CHEESE!” reimagines that dynamic through BOYNEXTDOOR’s signature energy, blending retro rock ‘n’ roll sounds with youthful charm.
The song centers on the warmth of friendship, comparing the duo’s chase-and-escape antics to the ups and downs of growing up together. With an upbeat rhythm and addictive hook, it’s designed to make listeners smile much like the timeless show itself.
Celebrating a Legendary Legacy
Tom and Jerry, created by Warner Bros. in 1940, has entertained audiences for eight decades with its slapstick humor and enduring charm. This collaboration marks a creative meeting point between classic Western animation and modern K-pop performance.
Earlier this year, BOYNEXTDOOR were invited to the Tom and Jerry 85th Anniversary Celebration at the Warner Bros. Japan headquarters, where they performed and represented K-pop’s growing popularity in Japan.
BOYNEXTDOOR’s Rising Popularity in Japan
The group’s success in Japan continues to climb. Their second single album ‘BOYLIFE’ earned Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan in September, with over 346,000 copies sold in its first week. It also ranked No.1 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart.
BOYNEXTDOOR have also been confirmed to perform at “COUNTDOWN JAPAN 25/26,” Japan’s biggest year-end music festival, held at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo from December 27–31.
More Than a Collaboration — A Celebration
With “SAY CHEESE!”, BOYNEXTDOOR bring their lively energy to a global pop culture icon. It’s not just a song, but a celebration — of friendship, nostalgia, and music that connects generations.
“SAY CHEESE!” drops on November 10 across all major streaming platforms.
