Super Junior Celebrate 20th Anniversary With Touching Handwritten Letters to Fans

Super Junior is celebrating their remarkable 20th debut anniversary, and the members marked the milestone in the most touching way possible — with handwritten letters to their fans, ELF.

The legendary K-pop group first debuted on November 6, 2005, with the single “Twins (Knock Out)” on SBS Inkigayo. Two decades later, the members — still actively performing together — took to their social media accounts to share personal messages of gratitude and reflection.

Leader Leeteuk: “Let’s Keep Moving Forward Together”

In his note, Leeteuk wrote,

“It feels like we just debuted, but time has flown so fast. Super Junior has now turned 20 — an adult. Thank you for being with us every year. When I thought it might be the end, you helped me draw a new future. Let’s move forward together — I love you.”

Eunhyuk’s 5-Page Letter: “I’m Happier Now Than During Our Peak”

Eunhyuk shared a five-page handwritten letter reflecting on the group’s long journey.

“Maybe our prime years have passed,” he admitted, “but honestly, I feel much happier now. I finally understand how much ELF have supported, loved, and cherished us — and how precious Super Junior and ELF are in my life.”

He confessed to feeling both grateful and anxious:

“Sometimes I wonder, what happens after this beautiful 20th anniversary ends? It’s not that we’ll stop performing, but can we ever feel this same happiness again? I also feel my body changing — I can’t always perform the way I want to. So if one day I don’t look as cool on stage, I might quietly step down.”

He concluded warmly,

“My goal is simple — to give back to the people I love, without regret. I’ll never take your love, my music, or my performances lightly. I’ll always give you my best.”

Siwon: “Your Warmth Helped Us Stand Again”

Choi Siwon also posted a heartfelt multilingual message — in Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and Indonesian — to reach global fans.

“For twenty years, we laughed, cried, and grew together,” he wrote. “Even in a world where love sometimes fades, your hearts stayed warm. That warmth helped me, and many others, stand again and love deeper.”

Still Standing Strong After 20 Years

Super Junior’s unwavering bond with ELF has kept them at the heart of K-pop’s legacy for two decades — a rare feat in an ever-changing industry. The group will continue celebrating their anniversary with performances, including a special stage at the 2025 MAMA Awards in Hong Kong on November 28.

With their emotional reflections and continued passion, Super Junior prove that true legends don’t just last — they evolve, together with their fans.
