Fantagio Apologizes After ARS Event for Cha Eun-woo’s New Album Causes Confusion and Mis-dialing Incidents

Actor-singer Cha Eun-woo’s agency Fantagio has issued a public apology following an ARS event for his upcoming solo album that inadvertently caused phone-number confusion and inconvenience to unrelated individuals.

Event Mishap Leads to Apology

On November 5, Fantagio released a notice through Cha Eun-woo’s official channel, explaining that “some users entered the wrong number during the ARS call event, resulting in calls being directed to unrelated people.”

“We sincerely apologize to anyone who was affected by this error,” the agency stated. “Please make sure to dial the correct number when participating.”

The apology follows an ARS (Automated Response Service) event held on November 4 at 3:30 p.m. KST to celebrate the upcoming release of Cha Eun-woo’s second solo mini album, ELSE. Participants who dialed the correct number could hear a pre-recorded voice message from Cha Eun-woo, which he had prepared before enlisting in the military.

The event attracted over 100,000 calls in just a few hours, reflecting the singer’s immense popularity. However, several fans reportedly mis-dialed similar numbers, leading to ordinary citizens receiving repeated calls — prompting the agency to step in with clarification and an apology.

About Cha Eun-woo’s New Album “ELSE”

Although currently serving in the Army Band after enlisting in July 2025, Cha Eun-woo completed the recording for ELSE prior to his enlistment. The album will officially drop on November 21 at 1 p.m. KST across major music platforms.

The project marks his first solo comeback since his military service began, and expectations are high among fans eager to hear his “pre-enlistment” material.

Recent Activities Before Enlistment

Despite his current service, Cha Eun-woo’s name continues to appear in headlines. His film First Ride recently hit theaters to a warm reception, and he drew praise for his fluent English when he served as the MC for the 2025 APEC Summit welcome dinner in Gyeongju on October 31.
