FIFTY FIFTY has made another bold move toward global domination this time teaming up with one of France’s most influential hip-hop artists.

K-pop Meets French Hip-Hop
On November 7, Sony Music Korea announced that FIFTY FIFTY participated in the official soundtrack of the upcoming French film Yoroi.
The group features on the track “Oulalalala,” a collaboration with acclaimed French rapper Orelsan, marking the first musical crossover between the two countries’ major pop cultures.
“Oulalalala” combines dreamy melodies and powerful beats, blending FIFTY FIFTY’s smooth vocals with Orelsan’s rhythmic rap to create a fresh soundscape.
The result is a genre-bending fusion that redefines global pop collaboration — part ethereal K-pop, part gritty French hip-hop.
Orelsan’s First-Ever K-pop Collaboration
Orelsan, one of France’s top hip-hop figures, is a multiple-time winner of the Victoires de la Musique, often described as the “French Grammys.” Speaking about the project, he said, “There was a time when I couldn’t stop listening to FIFTY FIFTY’s ‘Cupid.’ When Sony suggested a collaboration for this film, it felt like destiny.”
The track “Oulalalala” will serve as a key theme for Yoroi, a French action-drama that explores identity, loyalty, and transformation. The collaboration bridges two vibrant musical worlds while expanding both artists’ international reach.
FIFTY FIFTY’s Expanding Global Footprint
FIFTY FIFTY shared their excitement, saying, “Orelsan’s artistry and storytelling deeply inspired us. Through this song, we explored new sounds and emotions that reflect both our identities.” They added, “We’re thrilled to share this collaboration with listeners around the world.”
“Oulalalala” is more than just a soundtrack addition it’s a creative statement about connection across languages and styles.
By merging the poetic charm of French rap with the emotional depth of K-pop, FIFTY FIFTY and Orelsan have created a track that celebrates the universal language of music and the boundless spirit of collaboration.
The girl group continues to build on their reputation as global pioneers following the viral success of “Cupid,” which charted on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year.
Editor’s Insight
What makes this collaboration important is not just the artists involved, but the direction it represents.
FIFTY FIFTY is moving beyond traditional global strategies and exploring less predictable markets.
Instead of repeating the same formula, they are experimenting with new cultural combinations.
If this approach continues, it could reshape how K-pop expands internationally in the future.
