As TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) prepares for their historic 8th Mini Album, 7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns (releasing April 13, 2026), all eyes are back on Yeonjun’s solo debut, NO LABELS: PART 01.
Released in November 2025, this project wasn’t just a collection of six songs; it was a declaration of war against industry boxes. Today, as Yeonjun takes on his new role as a tvN Fashion Mentor for Kill It, the “unapologetic” energy of NO LABELS feels more relevant than ever.
A New Chapter Without Labels
Yeonjun didn’t just sing on this album—he built it. He co-wrote five out of the six tracks, including the gritty rock title track “Talk to You.”
From the old-school hip-hop of “Do It” to the rebellious brass of “Nothin’ Bout Me,” Yeonjun proved he could carry a full-length narrative without the support of his members. His collaboration with Daniela of KATSEYE on “Let Me Tell You” remains one of the most streamed K-pop/Global-Pop crossovers of the past year.
The six-track album strips away expectations and classifications. “Each song has a different genre,” he said, “but together, they show who I really am. It’s the most honest reflection of me so far.” The title track, ‘Talk to You,’ instantly resonated with him. “When I first heard it, I thought, ‘This is my song.’ It’s exactly what I wanted to express.”
Passion on Stage and Behind the Scenes
The album includes ‘Forever’, ‘Let Me Tell You (feat. Daniela of KATSEYE)’, ‘Do It’, ‘Nothing Bout Me’, and ‘Coma’. Yeonjun personally contributed to writing most of the songs, co-writing all but one track. He also took part in performance direction: “For ‘Coma,’ the choreography came out exactly how I imagined. I even revised parts of ‘Let Me Tell You’ myself I want people to watch and think,‘Yeonjun’s on fire.’”
Yeonjun’s role in performance direction for the track “Coma” set a new standard for 4th Gen soloists. He famously revised the choreography himself to ensure it felt “purely him.” This hands-on approach is exactly why he was selected for his current tvN mentor role the industry recognizes that his “Yeonjun-core” style is something that can be taught but never replicated.
More Than Music A Message to MOA
The album’s title reflects his desire to break out of definitions: no categories, no boxes, no limits. Before the release, Yeonjun teased various behind-the-scenes clips on social media. “I wanted to show my genuine self in the process,” he said. “It was fun it felt like the most ‘me’ way to share this journey.” To fans who’ve waited, he sent a heartfelt message: “It’s been a long wait, but it’ll be worth every second. Feel it as it is and enjoy it. Thank you, and I love you all.”
With ‘NO LABELS: PART 01’, Yeonjun isn’t just debuting as a soloist he’s redefining what it means to be an artist unbound.
