NCT members Jeno and Jaemin are stepping onto a new stage not a concert one, but a baseball field filled with dreams, youth, and friendship. The duo has officially joined the upcoming short-form drama “Wind Up” (written by Byun Jae-cheol, directed by Kim Sung-ho), which will premiere in the first half of 2026. The series tells the heartfelt story of high school boys growing up through baseball, friendship, and the bittersweet challenges of youth.

From Idols to Actors

In the drama, Jeno will play “Woo-jin,” a once-promising pitcher who has lost the ability to throw a strike. Haunted by past failures, he struggles to regain his confidence both on and off the mound. Jaemin takes on the role of “Tae-hee,” a cheerful transfer student who suddenly enters Woo-jin’s life. Tae-hee volunteers to become Woo-jin’s self-appointed manager sparking a bond that changes both of their lives.

While this marks Jeno’s official acting debut, Jaemin has prior experience, having appeared in the 2019 JTBC4 drama “How to Hate You”, where he impressed audiences with his natural and refreshing performance. Fans are eager to see how their real-life chemistry translates to the screen.

A Strong Creative Team Behind the Scenes

“Wind Up” will be directed by Kim Sung-ho, known for his work on the Netflix series “Move to Heaven” and KBS2’s “Bad Prosecutor”. The production is a collaboration between SM Entertainment and Take One Company, promising cinematic visuals and emotionally grounded storytelling. Industry insiders describe “Wind Up” as a “coming-of-age baseball drama that captures the sincerity, pain, and beauty of youth.”

NCT’s Expanding Horizons

Both Jeno and Jaemin have been expanding beyond music from fashion and modeling to acting and variety. This new project adds another milestone to their careers, proving their versatility as performers.

With “Wind Up”, the two idols aim to show a more mature and emotional side of themselves one that reflects the struggles and hopes of growing up, both on the field and in life.
