Even while serving in the military, ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo continues to captivate fans with nonstop projects. The singer-actor is set to release his second solo mini-album, ELSE, unveiling a new side of his artistry through a creative and intimate highlight medley.
On November 11, Cha Eun-woo shared the medley images for ELSE on his official social media accounts, teasing four tracks including the title song “SATURDAY PREACHER,” along with “Sweet Papaya,” “Selfish,” and “Thinkin’ Bout U.” Fans can scan a QR code in the teaser to hear his pre-recorded voice messages—making them feel as if they are on a personal phone call with the star himself.

The highlight clips reveal snippets of each track, offering a preview of the diverse genres Cha explores this time around. The title track, “SATURDAY PREACHER,” stands out with a funky, retro-disco sound layered with Cha’s light falsetto, delivering a fresh and addictive hook that fans are already praising as his boldest concept yet.
Meanwhile, “Sweet Papaya” introduces a tropical-chill mood perfect for relaxed moments, “Selfish” portrays the sweet yet selfish emotions of love, and “Thinkin’ Bout U” showcases a warm, star-like sentimentality. Through these songs, Cha Eun-woo demonstrates his ability to blend emotional storytelling with polished production.
Following his 2024 debut mini-album ENTITY—which reflected on his identity and inner thoughts—ELSE represents breaking free from limitations and embracing his natural self. With this comeback, Cha continues to expand his color as a solo artist beyond ASTRO’s image.

The new album ELSE will be officially released on November 21 at 1 p.m. (KST) across all major streaming platforms worldwide.
Beyond music, Cha Eun-woo is also connecting with fans through his upcoming film First Ride, where he plays the role of Yeon-min. Despite being in the army, he remains active—recently even appearing as an emcee at the APEC summit banquet, proving that his “military hiatus” is anything but idle.
With ELSE, Cha Eun-woo once again proves that his talents extend far beyond his visuals—offering fans a new reason to look forward to his post-service career.
