JYP Named Time Magazine’s No.1 “Most Sustainable Growth Company 2026” — Beating Nvidia, Kakao, and Global Giants

JYP Entertainment just earned one of the most surprising and impressive global recognitions of the year.

On November 12 (local time), Time magazine announced its annual “World’s Best Companies in Sustainable Growth 2026”, and JYP Entertainment ranked No.1 out of 500 global companies — outranking Nvidia (No.6), Kakao (No.85), and major firms from Europe, India, and Taiwan.

This recognition came just one day after JYP reported a disappointing Q3 earnings drop, creating a dramatic contrast between short-term financial performance and long-term sustainability leadership.

Why JYP Ranked No.1 in the World

The global ranking is jointly analyzed by Time and market research firm Statista, evaluating companies based on:

  • Revenue growth
  • Financial stability
  • Environmental performance

Each category carries equal weight, and JYP scored 97.59 points, placing them first across all industries — not just entertainment.

For two years in a row, JYP has also ranked No.1 among all Korean companies.

Top 6 Global Rankings

  1. JYP Entertainment (Korea) – 97.59
  2. Mavi (Turkey) – 97.52
  3. Cyient (India) – 96.57
  4. WT Microelectronics (Taiwan) – 96.50
  5. ASR Netherlands (Netherlands) – 95.53
  6. Nvidia (USA) – 95.38

Statista praised JYP as “exceptional across all evaluation categories—one of the few companies demonstrating excellence in both financial and environmental performance.

JYP’s Sustainability Efforts

JYP has been one of the earliest entertainment companies to embrace transparent sustainability practices.

  • Joined RE100 and shifted to 100% renewable electricity.
  • Issued its 4th Sustainability Report this June detailing ESG initiatives.
  • Continues expanding eco-friendly production and artist management policies.

CEO Jung Wook stated:
“Under the vision ‘Leader of Change,’ we aim to embed sustainability into all areas of our business and actively respond to climate change. We will continue striving to be a company that creates positive change.”

Mixed Reactions After Earnings Drop

The recognition came at an interesting moment:
Just earlier this week, JYP posted a 16% YoY drop in Q3 operating profit, triggering some analysts to lower target stock prices.

Yet, the Time ranking highlights how global evaluation of JYP’s long-term strategy differs greatly from short-term market volatility.
