Actor Hyun Bin is returning with a transformation unlike anything audiences have seen from him before—revealing the raw face of ambition, power, and moral conflict in Disney+’s new original series Made in Korea.
On November 19, Disney+ released Hyun Bin’s character posters and teaser video, offering a first look at his intense new role.

A Double Life: Government Official by Day, Ruthless Power Player by Night
Hyun Bin plays Baek Ki-tae, a high-ranking Central Intelligence Agency (KCIA) official in 1970s Korea. The teaser shows him wearing eavesdropping devices and speaking with icy certainty:
“In this game, someone has to die. And it won’t be me.”
Baek Ki-tae stands at the heart of state authority, yet secretly pursues a dangerous scheme to climb to the top of wealth and power. His ambition is crystal clear:
“I will change the world. This world has always been a battlefield for the powerful.”
Hyun Bin’s chilling performance signals a bold shift from his previous roles, diving deep into the moral shadows of a man consumed by desire.
A Power Struggle Against Jung Woo-sung
The series depicts a tense war of ambition between Baek Ki-tae and prosecutor Jang Geon-young, played by Jung Woo-sung. As Jang pursues the truth behind Baek’s schemes, the two become entangled in a massive conspiracy that shakes 1970s Korea.
