BTS member Jungkook is once again facing severe privacy violations. A Japanese woman in her 50s attempted multiple times to break into his Seoul residence, prompting police involvement and renewed concern over celebrity safety.
According to the Yongsan Police Department, authorities began pre-investigation proceedings on the 19th against a Japanese national, identified as A, on charges of attempted house intrusion. Between November 12 and 14, A allegedly visited Jungkook’s home and repeatedly entered random number combinations on the front-door keypad in an effort to gain access.
Big Hit Issues Firm Statement: “We Will Continue Strict, Zero-Tolerance Protection”
In response, Big Hit Music released an official statement emphasizing their ongoing efforts to safeguard the artist’s private life. “We have continuously implemented strict measures to protect our artist’s privacy,” the agency stated. “We will remain fully committed to active protection and decisive action moving forward.” The company reiterated its zero-tolerance policy against all forms of intrusion, stalking, and illegal behavior targeting BTS members.
Not the First Time: Repeat Attempts Raise Security Concerns
This is not the first intrusion attempt Jungkook has faced this year. In June, a Chinese woman in her 30s attempted to enter his residence but was intercepted by police before gaining access. A second incident occurred in late August, when a woman in her 40s managed to enter the building and was ultimately arrested in the underground parking lot.
Big Hit confirmed that both offenders have been, and will continue to be, prosecuted with zero tolerance. The woman involved in the June incident was sent to prosecutors without detention for attempted house intrusion, while the August suspect admitted to her actions during police questioning.
Jungkook’s Own Warning: “Please Don’t Come”
The idol previously expressed emotional distress over repeated privacy invasions. During a Weverse Live broadcast in September, Jungkook directly addressed a prior intruder, saying: “Please, don’t come to my house. If you don’t want to end up at the police station, don’t try to enter.”
Despite heightened security, the latest case underscores persistent issues with obsessive stalkers and saesang behavior — a longstanding concern for K-pop idols. Authorities are now reviewing surveillance footage and additional evidence as the investigation into the Japanese suspect continues.
