Aespa member Winter was unable to perform at the group’s Bangkok concert after coming down with flu-like symptoms, SM Entertainment confirmed on November 16.
The singer, known for her powerful vocals and stable live performances, visited a hospital after the previous night’s show. Doctors advised her to rest completely, leading the agency to make the difficult call to keep her out of both the sound-check event and the main concert.

SM Entertainment: “We Prioritized Her Health and Safety”
In an official notice shared through SNS, SM stated:
“Winter received a diagnosis of cold and flu-like symptoms after visiting a hospital yesterday.
After the doctor recommended sufficient rest, we have decided she will not participate in today’s events.
We ask for fans’ understanding as her health and safety are our top priority.”
Despite the unexpected setback, Aespa continued their third world tour, “2025 aespa LIVE TOUR – SYNK : aeXIS LINE,” with the remaining members — Karina, Ningning, and Giselle — taking the Bangkok stage at Impact Arena.
Fans in attendance responded with loud cheers, banners, and messages wishing Winter a fast recovery.

New Solo Tracks Released the Same Day
Coincidentally, November 17 marked the release of the group’s new special digital solo tracks, created by each member to celebrate Aespa’s 5th anniversary.
- Winter – “Blue” (Pop Rock)
- Ningning – “Ketchup and Lemonade” (R&B)
- Giselle – “Tornado” (Tropical Dance)
- Karina – “Good Stuff” (Hip-hop Dance)
Fans praised “Blue” for showcasing Winter’s delicate and emotional vocal style — a comforting listen for MYs hoping for her quick return.
Fans: “Get Well Soon, Winter”
As Aespa returned to Korea via Incheon International Airport on the morning of the 17th, fans flooded social media with supportive messages.
Winter is currently resting and focusing on recovery, with SM ensuring she gets the time she needs before returning to full schedules.
