Actor Yoo Yeon Seok is set to return to the small screen this time as a lawyer who solves the grudges of restless spirits. SBS’s upcoming Friday–Saturday drama “Shin Yi Rang Law Office” introduces a unique blend of legal thrills and supernatural mystery, pairing Yoo Yeon Seok with actress Esom in a story that brings justice to both the living and the dead.

A Lawyer Who Can See Ghosts
The drama follows Shin Yi Rang (played by Yoo Yeon-seok), a lawyer who suddenly begins seeing ghosts after opening a small law office inside a shaman’s house. While he appears confident and reliable on the outside, Yi-rang is actually soft-hearted, timid, and hilariously clumsy.
However, when faced with clients carrying years of unresolved pain whether from injustice, betrayal, or untimely death he becomes fiercely determined. A unique twist in his character is the phenomenon of spiritual possession, where the traits of each ghost seep into his body. As a result, he transforms into entirely different personas: young or old, male or female, gentle or aggressive. This adds both humor and emotional depth to each case he takes on.
The drama is directed by Shin Joong-hoon, known for the hit 2024 series “Kang Mae-kang,” and written by Kim Ga-young and Kang Cheol-gyu, the creative minds behind “Alice” (2020).
A 100% Win Rate Lawyer Meets the Impossible
Opposite Yoo Yeon-seok is Esom, who plays Han Na-hyun, an elite attorney at a top-tier law firm with a flawless winning streak. For Na-hyun, victory defines everything — her work, her reputation, and her identity. Her disciplined, sharp approach pushes her to the top of the legal world.
But her world spirals when she unexpectedly loses a case to Shin Yi-rang. That one defeat overturns the direction of her life, forcing her into unexpected partnership and eventually trust with the man who claims he can see ghosts. Though skeptical at first, she gradually opens her heart as unexplainable events unfold right before her eyes.
Coming Next Year
“Shin Yi Rang Law Office” is slated to air in the first half of 2026, promising a fresh mix of supernatural humor, emotional casework, and an unlikely duo learning to navigate justice beyond the physical world.
