SEVENTEEN’s Jun has been selected as the Youth Ambassador for the 7th Hainan International Film Festival, becoming one of the official faces promoting the major global event.
The announcement was made on November 26, with Jun chosen to represent the festival as a rising young talent in the Chinese film industry. As Youth Ambassador, he will play a key role in connecting audiences with filmmakers and spotlighting new cinematic voices.

A Global Film Festival Drawing Major Talent
The Hainan International Film Festival is one of China’s largest and most internationally connected movie events.
This year’s edition will be held from December 3 to 9 in Sanya, Hainan Province, featuring over 4,600 film submissions from 119 countries and regions.
Jun’s Expanding Acting Career
Jun has steadily built his presence as an actor across Greater China.
In August, he starred in the action film “The Hurricane Project (破風追影)”, released in major cities across China and worldwide.
He worked alongside legendary actors such as Jackie Chan and Tony Leung Ka-fai, further raising expectations for his future in film.
The film led to invitations from both the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival and the 30th Busan International Film Festival, receiving attention from critics and audiences alike.
Jun will also appear in the upcoming Chinese historical drama “Yun Gui He Shi (运贵熙事)”, set to be released on the Chinese streaming platform iQIYI.
A Rising Actor Since Childhood
Jun began his acting career early. He appeared in the 2006 film “The Pye-Dog”, earning the Best New Performer Award from the Hong Kong Film Directors’ Guild the following year.
He later became the first Chinese child actor nominated for Best New Performer at the 27th Hong Kong Film Awards.
More recently, Jun gained attention with the 2023 youth romance drama “Exclusive Fairy Tale”, earning the Popularity Award at the Asia Contents & Global OTT Awards during the Busan International Film Festival.
As Jun continues to expand his acting portfolio, his new role as Youth Ambassador positions him at the center of one of Asia’s most globally connected film festivals.
