Dynamic Duo’s iconic track ‘AEAO’ is enjoying a rare second life, rising again on global charts three years after its first resurgence in 2023. Despite being released back in 2014, the song is now experiencing a continuous 3-year long-run boom, securing its place as one of K-hip-hop’s most enduring hits.
Originally a collaboration with legendary producer DJ Premier, the track has recently surged across multiple platforms. As of November 28, ‘AEAO’ entered Shazam’s Top Songs in nine Asian countries, including Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan, China, Singapore, and Malaysia. In Thailand, it jumped 71 spots in just one day, and also climbed back into Korea’s Top 100.

The song is also charting on Apple Music’s Hip-Hop/Rap Top Songs in 11 Asian regions, showing strong growth in places like the Maldives, Bhutan, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Adding to its legacy, ‘AEAO’ surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, proving its global staying power. Even its slowed version, released in 2023, continues to gain monthly listeners.
Much of the renewed popularity began with fan-made TikTok challenges in 2023, and the momentum only grew. This year, the track was officially added to the NBA 2K26 soundtrack, marking a historic milestone: the first Korean song with Korean lyrics to be included twice in the NBA 2K series, following its earlier appearance in NBA 2K16.
K-pop artists such as ENHYPEN, ZEROBASEONE, NCT DREAM, BOYNEXTDOOR, and LE SSERAFIM have also joined the ‘AEAO’ dance challenge, steadily fueling its second viral wave.
Dynamic Duo will meet fans soon through their 2025 concert tour, starting December 20–21 in Busan, followed by stops in Daegu, Gwangju, and Seoul.
