A Hero Whose Power Depends on… Cash

The story follows Sang-woong (Lee Junho), an ordinary office worker trying to save money for marriage and housing. His life changes when he suddenly gains an unusual ability:
he becomes physically stronger depending on how much cash he holds — and loses money every time he uses his power.

The teaser poster captures Sang-woong holding cash that crumbles into dust, paired with the line, “What do I do? They want me to do good deeds while using my own money.” It sets up the series’ main conflict as Sang-woong struggles between protecting his wallet and doing the right thing.

A Teaser Filled With Humor and Heart

The newly released teaser trailer shows Sang-woong explaining his strange power to his fiancée Min-sook (Kim Hye-jun). His “money-burning superpower” is humorously compared to small differences like “gochujang vs. cho-gochujang,” while he panics over his empty wallet.

Still, despite trying not to use his abilities, Sang-woong finds himself repeatedly forced into dangerous situations — catching bullets with one hand and facing down villains. More superpowered characters also emerge, including Byun Ho-in (Kim Byung-chul), Bang Eun-mi (Kim Hyang-gi), and a pair of mysterious hunters, Jonathan (Lee Chae-min) and Joanna (Kang Han-na).

A Hero Who Feels “Too Real”

The trailer closes with Sang-woong’s painfully relatable line:
“My paycheck disappears the moment it hits my account… and I still have more to spend today.”

His attempts to save money while avoiding using his powers create a hilariously familiar struggle for viewers — setting the stage for a new kind of hero: a “broke but brave” everyman.

Netflix Release This Month

With its refreshing concept, sharp humor, and Lee Junho’s rising star power, Cashero is expected to deliver a unique year-end treat for viewers around the world.
The series drops exclusively on Netflix on December 26.
