MBC’s upcoming Friday–Saturday drama The Judge Returns has unveiled three striking main posters, offering the first look at Ji Sung and Park Hee-soon as two judges standing on opposite sides of justice. The contrasting visuals spotlight a fierce ideological clash at the center of the series.

A Dark Judge Returns to the Past to Rewrite Justice
Based on the popular web novel of the same name, The Judge Returns follows the story of Lee Han-young (played by Ji Sung), a corrupt judge who mysteriously returns 10 years into the past. Armed with knowledge of the future and a renewed desire to pursue justice, he sets out to dismantle the powerful forces that once controlled him.
Standing in his way is Judge Kang Shin-jin (Park Hee-soon), a towering figure at the peak of corruption. Determined to expose Kang’s crimes and break the chain of abuse, Han-young forms an unexpected alliance with prosecutor Kim Jin-ah (Won Jin-ah), igniting a tense and unpredictable pursuit of justice.
Posters Depict a Dramatic Confrontation Between Good and Evil
The newly released posters highlight the thematic core of the drama the battle between righteousness and corruption. In the primary poster, Ji Sung and Park Hee-soon stand in stark contrast, the use of black and white emphasizing their opposing moral compasses. Their cold, divergent gazes signal a clash of ideals and a fight that will unfold both inside and outside the courtroom.
A second poster features Han-young and prosecutor Jin-ah in light-colored outfits, visually representing their connection to justice. Meanwhile, Kang Shin-jin, dressed in a dark suit, radiates an ominous presence that hints at the depths of his villainy. The final solo poster of Ji Sung as Judge Lee Han-young delivers an especially powerful punch. Wearing his judge’s robe and exuding unwavering confidence, he stands beneath the tagline: “I promise a definitive punishment.” The bold copy amplifies curiosity about the show’s revenge-driven narrative.

Premiere Set for January 2
The Judge Returns will premiere on January 2 at 9:40 p.m. on MBC, setting the stage for a gripping tale of retribution, law, and the blurred lines between justice and vengeance.
