A global hit that outshined even the biggest pop giants

BLACKPINK’s Rosé and global pop star Bruno Mars just closed out 2025 with a massive achievement: their collaboration “APT.” has dominated Apple Music’s 2025 Year-End Charts, securing the No.1 spot across four major categories.

In the results announced on December 3, Apple Music confirmed that “APT.” ranked:

  • #1 — Top 100: Global
  • #1 — Top 100: Shazam
  • #1 — Top 100: Radio: Global
  • #1 — Top 100: Songs We Loved for Their Lyrics

Even among global powerhouses like Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen, and Drake, Apple Music noted that “APT.” delivered an “undeniably standout performance” throughout the year.

Korea’s Top Tracks of 2025

While “APT.” was a global phenomenon, Korea’s own streaming charts showed a diverse lineup:

  • #1 — aespa “Whiplash”
  • #2 — WOODZ “Drowning”
  • #3 — Rosé “toxic till the end”

Rosé’s solo work continued to chart strongly at home, proving her dual impact as both a global pop figure and a domestic favorite.

On Shazam Korea’s yearly ranking of most-searched artists, Day6 took the top spot, followed by BIGBANG’s G-Dragon, with Bruno Mars landing at No.3.
Meanwhile, the most-searched song of the year was WOODZ’s “Drowning.”

K-Content Also Shines: “K-Pop Demon Hunters” OST Goes Global

Beyond Rosé’s success, the soundtrack “Golden” from the Netflix K-pop animation K-Pop Demon Hunters also made waves internationally:

  • #15 — Top 100: Global
  • #4 — Songs With Standout Lyrics
  • #4 — Top 100: Sing

The track brings together powerhouse creators including Korean-American hitmaker EJAE, producer Teddy, and composer Mark Sonnenblick. Impressively, “Golden” also held the No.1 spot on Apple Music’s “Today’s Top 100” for 70 consecutive days, setting one of the longest streaks of the year.

Who Dominated the Global Charts?

Apple Music highlighted several key artists in their 2025 review:

  • Morgan Wallen placed 12 total tracks in the global Top 100 — the most of any artist.
  • Tyler, The Creator, named Apple Music’s Artist of the Year, entered the year-end chart for the first time with “Sticky.”
  • Kendrick Lamar & SZA were chosen as Duo of the Year, with “luther” landing at No.2 and “30 for 30” at No.10 on the global Top 100.
