NCT members Doyoung and Jungwoo officially begin their military service, marking an important transition for both the artists and their fans. The two enter the Army Training Center on December 8, where they will complete five weeks of basic military training before starting their respective assignments.
Enlisting Together, Serving in Different Roles
Doyoung begins his service as an active-duty Army soldier, while Jungwoo joins the Army Band. Their decision to enlist quietly reflects both artists’ wishes to avoid disrupting the training center environment.
Their agency also requested fans to refrain from visiting, emphasizing that the training center is a shared space for many soldiers and families.
Doyoung’s Message: “You helped me endure and grow.”
Ahead of his enlistment, Doyoung shared a heartfelt note on Weverse, expressing gratitude toward NCTzens. “As I close one chapter of my life, I realize it’s thanks to all the NCTzens who have stayed with me, supported me, and loved me that I’ve been able to endure, grow, and overcome so much,” he wrote. “I think I will end up missing you even more.”
Jungwoo’s Message: “You’ve always been my strength.”
Jungwoo also offered warm words before leaving for training. “NCTzens who have always stayed by my side and trusted me thank you. I’m here today because you’ve supported me from the same place all this time,” he said. “Leaving for a while feels unfamiliar and sad, but I believe I’ll return stronger and more mature.”
He also asked fans to take care of the group during his absence. “Please look after the members while I’m gone. I won’t forget the love you’ve given me, and I’ll come back better than before. Let’s all stay happy until we meet again.”
NCT Members Continue Military Service Timeline
With military enlistments underway across the group, NCT is seeing members fulfill their mandatory service one by one.
Taeyong, currently serving in the Navy Band, is scheduled to be discharged on December 14. Jaehyun is serving in the Army Band and is expected to complete his service in May 2026.
As Doyoung and Jungwoo enter this new chapter, fans are sending support, encouragement, and promises to welcome them back warmly when their service concludes.
