G-Dragon once again proved why he remains one of K-pop’s most influential cultural icons, delivering a three-hour performance that embodied the true meaning of “Übermensch” growth beyond limits, self-definition, and artistic proof.
On December 14, G-Dragon held the third and final night of his G-Dragon 2025 World Tour: Übermensch Encore Concert at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul. The show marked the grand finale of his massive global tour, which spanned 17 cities and 39 performances, from Asia and Australia to North America.

What “Übermensch” Means for G-Dragon
The concert title is drawn from G-Dragon’s third full-length album Übermensch, released in February, which references philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche’s concept of an individual who creates new values through personal will rather than conforming to existing norms.
Rather than treating the term as a mere concept, G-Dragon used the entire concert as a living statement of it. The performance was not about repeating past success, but about surpassing his former self musically, visually, and emotionally.
A Stage Ruled by an Emperor
From the opening moment, G-Dragon established complete control of the stage. Appearing in a white feathered jacket and a crown, he symbolically declared himself the “emperor” of the night. He launched into “POWER”, delivering a commanding performance filled with charisma and intensity.
The energy inside Gocheok Sky Dome peaked when BIGBANG members Taeyang and Daesung made a surprise appearance for “HOME SWEET HOME,” sending the crowd into a frenzy and reminding fans of the group’s enduring bond.

Silencing Criticism with Performance
Throughout the night, G-Dragon showcased his versatility through hits such as “Crooked,” “One of a Kind,” “Today,” “This Love,” “Heartbreaker,” and “Bullsh*t.” These performances effectively erased recent criticism surrounding his live vocals following his appearance at the 2025 MAMA Awards in Hong Kong.
By the time the encore arrived, G-Dragon had completed 21 songs across three full hours, reaffirming why he continues to be recognized as a once-in-a-generation artist.
A Glimpse into BIGBANG’s Future
As the concert drew to a close, all eyes turned to what lies ahead. During a fan interaction segment after performing “TOO BAD,” G-Dragon addressed BIGBANG’s upcoming milestone.
“Next year marks BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary,” he said. “We’ll start warming up from April.”
He also hinted at a special coming-of-age–style celebration in the United States, sparking excitement and speculation among fans worldwide.

Editor’s Insight: A Year That Redefined G-Dragon
Since his solo comeback on October 25 last year, following a seven-year hiatus, G-Dragon has filled just one year with remarkable achievements festival stages, variety show appearances, a world tour, serving as APEC Summit promotional ambassador, and receiving the Order of Cultural Merit.
By closing his world tour with this encore concert, G-Dragon did more than complete a schedule. He proved what Übermensch truly means: an artist who continuously reinvents himself, challenges expectations, and forges his own path.
As 2026 approaches and with BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary on the horizon global attention remains fixed on one question: what new chapter will G-Dragon write next?
