Netflix’s upcoming series Cashero puts a refreshingly realistic twist on the superhero genre where money equals power.
Lee Junho stars as Sang-woong, an overworked office employee buried under wedding costs and sky-high housing prices. His life flips upside down when he discovers a strange ability: the more cash he holds, the stronger he becomes. The catch? Every heroic moment comes straight out of his wallet.

Newly released stills show Sang-woong lifting cars, battling danger, and collapsing from exhaustion—juxtaposing epic strength with painfully ordinary struggles. It’s a hero story fueled not by destiny, but by everyday financial stress.
His girlfriend Min-sook (Kim Hye-jun) is the first to uncover his secret, and her response is refreshingly practical. Instead of cheering him on, she starts planning how to stop his powers from draining their savings, adding humor and heart to the story.

The drama also introduces a quirky support team and looming threats, including rivals who hunt down people with special abilities—setting the stage for chaotic action, sharp comedy, and relatable tension.
Cash Hero delivers a “spend-to-save” superhero story that feels uncomfortably close to home.
The series premieres December 26 on Netflix.
