Actor Hyun Bin is opening up about what brings him the most joy these days—and it has nothing to do with awards or red carpets.
In a recent interview video released on Vogue Korea’s YouTube channel, Hyun Bin appeared alongside his Made in Korea co-stars to talk about the project and everyday life. When asked about his current source of happiness, the actor gave a heartfelt and simple answer: spending time with his son.
“I feel happiest when I’m at home playing with my child,” Hyun Bin shared. “We eat together, and when the weather’s nice, we go to the playground.”

A Calm, Grounded Side of Hyun Bin
The video captured a relaxed side of the actor, with fellow cast member Woo Do-hwan praising Hyun Bin’s presence and professionalism. Woo recalled being struck by Hyun Bin’s aura during their first shoot, while Hyun Bin responded warmly, saying he found Woo Do-hwan dependable and easy to work with.
But it was Hyun Bin’s comments about family life that resonated most with viewers.
“I’m Just an Ordinary Dad”
Hyun Bin has spoken about fatherhood before, most recently on another YouTube talk show, where he described himself as a “very ordinary dad.” He shared that his son is now around three years old and that even strict parenting wouldn’t mean much yet.
“He’s just incredibly adorable,” Hyun Bin said with a smile.
When asked how he would feel if his son wanted to become an actor in the future, Hyun Bin responded thoughtfully, saying it’s something he would need time to think about—showing a careful and realistic approach to parenting.

Life Beyond the Spotlight
Hyun Bin married actress Son Ye-jin in 2022, and the couple welcomed their son later that year. Since then, the actor has balanced high-profile projects with a quieter family life.
His upcoming Disney+ series Made in Korea, set to be released soon, marks his return to the screen—but for Hyun Bin, it’s clear that the most meaningful moments happen far away from the cameras.
For fans, seeing one of Korea’s top stars speak so openly about fatherhood offers a refreshing reminder: sometimes, the simplest routines—sharing meals and trips to the playground—are what matter most.
