i-dle is showing no signs of slowing down as the group heads into 2026, following a year defined by reinvention, expansion, and sustained global momentum.

The group’s journey this year began with a symbolic yet decisive move: a rebranding. By dropping the “G” from their name, i-dle signaled the start of a new narrative one that emphasized artistic independence and a clearer group identity. The change marked more than a cosmetic update; it represented a fresh chapter in their musical direction.

That momentum continued in May with the release of their eighth mini album, ‘We Are.’ The album showcased a more mature sound and emotional depth, resonating strongly with listeners worldwide. Its impact extended beyond fans, earning recognition from Billboard, which named it one of the “25 Best K-pop Albums of 2025: Staff Picks.” Billboard described the album as “a significant turning point within i-dle’s discography.”

Expanding Global Footprint

In October, i-dle shifted focus to Japan, releasing their Japanese EP ‘i-dle.’ The album topped the Oricon Daily Album Ranking, reaffirming the group’s strong presence in the Japanese market and underscoring their growing influence across Asia.

Solo Projects and Individual Growth

Alongside group activities, the members also stood out through diverse solo ventures. Minnie released her first solo mini album ‘HER,’ while Yuqi made her solo debut with the single ‘Motivation.’ Miyeon followed with her second mini album ‘My, Lover,’ each project highlighting distinct musical colors and personal artistry. The members also broadened their reach beyond music. Minnie appeared in the film ‘50 First Kisses,’ while Soyeon and Yuqi took on producer roles for junior artists. Shuhua was appointed as a tourism ambassador for Taoyuan, further strengthening the group’s international visibility.

Looking Ahead to 2026

i-dle is set to carry this momentum into the new year with their fourth world tour, ‘Syncopation.’ Notably, the group will become the first K-pop girl group to perform at the Taipei Dome, marking another milestone in their career.

The tour will officially kick off with two shows on February 21–22, 2026, at Seoul’s KSPO Dome, setting the tone for what promises to be another defining year.
