Upcoming Korean film Project Y has revealed its full character lineup, spotlighting a powerful ensemble cast led by Han Sohee and Jeon Jongseo. With seven distinct characters colliding in a high-stakes narrative, the film promises an intense showcase of performance driven storytelling.
On December 29, distributor Plus M Entertainment released official character videos for Project Y, directed by Lee Hwan. The reveal features Han Sohee, Jeon Jongseo, Kim Shin Rok, Jung Young Joo, Lee Jae Kyun, YooA, and Kim Sung Cheol, each bringing a sharply defined presence to the screen.

Seven Characters, Seven Clashing Desires
Han Sohee takes on the role of Miseon, a woman yearning for an ordinary life yet repeatedly drawn into danger. Her character hints at layered emotions and quiet volatility, marking a notable transformation in her filmography. Jeon Jongseo stars as Dogyeong, Miseon’s closest friend and partner in crime. Known for her reckless instincts and raw emotional energy, Dogyeong’s character combines impulsiveness with exceptional driving skills, amplifying the film’s sense of speed and tension.
Kim Shin Rok portrays Gayoung, a figure who seizes opportunity without hesitation. Her unsettling gaze and calculated demeanor suggest a character whose alignment remains unpredictable, raising questions about how she will entangle herself with Miseon and Dogyeong.
The ensemble expands further with Jung Young Joo as Hwangso, a ruthless fixer who handles every problem without mercy, while Lee Jae Kyun plays Seokgu, YooA appears as Hagyeong, and Kim Sung Cheol delivers a chilling presence as the film’s ultimate antagonist.
A Collision of Performances
According to the production team, Project Y centers on “seven individuals with completely different instincts and values, colliding in unexpected ways.” They added, “The film’s core lies in the actors’ ensemble synergy and the fresh chemistry created through their conflicts.” Project Y follows the story of two women who, with nothing left but each other, attempt to escape reality by stealing black money a decision that triggers irreversible consequences.
Set for release on January 21, 2026, Project Y positions itself as a character driven thriller where desire, desperation, and danger intersect and where no one emerges untouched.
