TXT Teams Up With Rock Icon HYDE for New Japanese Digital Single ‘SSS’

TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) is set to kick off 2026 with a high-profile cross-genre collaboration, partnering with legendary Japanese rock artist HYDE for a new digital single in Japan. On December 31 (KST), BigHit Music announced that TXT will release ‘SSS (Sending Secret Signals)’ on January 26, unveiling a special version of the track featuring HYDE. The collaboration has already sparked major buzz among K-pop and J-rock fans alike.

A Fan-Favorite Track, Reimagined

‘SSS (Sending Secret Signals)’ originally appeared on TXT’s third Japanese studio album Starkissed, where it stood out for its moody atmosphere and emotionally restrained storytelling. The song explores the quiet thrill of exchanging secret signals of love away from the eyes of the world. The new digital single elevates the original track by adding HYDE’s distinctive vocals, introducing a darker, rock-infused edge that reshapes the song’s emotional depth.

Notably, HYDE personally participated in the lyrics and composition of ‘SSS’, a fact that drew attention even at the time of the album’s release. His full collaboration on this version further solidifies the project as a meaningful artistic partnership rather than a simple feature.

TXT Reveals the Collaboration on a Major Japanese Stage

TXT first shared news of the release during their appearance at ‘COUNTDOWN JAPAN 25/26’ on December 30. Addressing fans directly, the group teased the upcoming single and expressed excitement about presenting a version created together with HYDE. “We hope you look forward to the version we recorded with HYDE,” the members said, prompting loud cheers from the audience.

Bridging K-pop and Japanese Rock

HYDE is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Japanese rock, best known as the frontman of L’Arc~en~Ciel. His participation marks a rare and significant collaboration that bridges two major music cultures contemporary K-pop and classic Japanese rock.

Industry watchers view the project as another step in TXT’s strategy of expanding their global musical identity through genre-blending and international partnerships.

TXT’s Expanding Global Presence

Alongside the single release, TXT continues their fourth world tour, currently holding performances across Japan’s five major dome venues. The group is scheduled to perform in Tokyo on January 21–22, maintaining strong momentum in the Japanese market.

With ‘SSS (Sending Secret Signals)’ featuring HYDE, TXT enters 2026 reinforcing their reputation as a group unafraid to experiment and capable of collaborating with iconic artists beyond the K-pop sphere.

The digital single will be available worldwide on January 26, 2026.
