Jungkook of BTS has once again demonstrated his unrivaled global influence; this time through the explosive sell-out of his Rolling Stone global cover project.
As soon as pre-orders opened, both the Rolling Stone Korea and Japan print editions sold out almost instantly on K-pop’s major global commerce platform Ktown4u. The momentum continued on Weverse Shop, where the Korea edition quickly joined the sold-out list, underscoring Jungkook’s extraordinary purchasing power.

A Sell-Out Phenomenon Across Borders
The frenzy showed no signs of slowing down internationally. The Korea and Japan editions sold out on Amazon’s Canada site, while the Japan edition disappeared from shelves at major Korean retailers including YES24, Kyobo Book Centre, and Aladin.
Even before official release, the magazine topped multiple bestseller charts:
- Amazon Entertainment Bestseller No.1 (Global)
- Amazon Japan Entertainment Bestseller No.1
- YES24 Foreign Books Bestseller No.1
These achievements came entirely during the reservation period—highlighting demand that far exceeded supply.

A Historic Rolling Stone Collaboration
This Rolling Stone project stood out not only for its sales but also for its scale. Jungkook was selected as the cover star for a multi-country global special jointly produced by Rolling Stone Korea, UK, Japan, France, India, Brazil, the Philippines, and China.
Print editions were released in Korea, the UK, and Japan, while France, India, Brazil, the Philippines, and China unveiled digital covers. According to Rolling Stone Japan, Jungkook became the first artist ever to front a collaborative project shared simultaneously by the Korea, UK, and Japan editions. He also made history as the first K-pop solo artist to appear on the Rolling Stone UK cover.
Streaming Records That Keep Growing
Jungkook’s dominance extends far beyond print. On Spotify, he surpassed 10.2 billion cumulative streams across all credits—making him the fastest Asian artist and the first K-pop soloist to reach this milestone.
His debut solo single Seven and first solo album GOLDEN continue their historic runs on Spotify’s Weekly Top Global chart, recording 128 weeks and 112 consecutive weeks respectively—both firsts for an Asian solo artist.
On Billboard, Seven achieved another unprecedented feat by charting for 126 weeks on the Global 200, the longest run ever by an Asian artist. On the Global (Excl. U.S.) chart, it extended its record to 128 consecutive weeks, further cementing Jungkook’s status as a long-term global hitmaker.
“Sold Out” Remains Jungkook’s Signature
From magazine shelves to global charts, Jungkook continues to redefine what solo success looks like in K-pop. With every project, words like “first,” “fastest,” and “sold out” follow close behind—proving that even a legendary name like Rolling Stone can’t keep up with his speed.
