A foreign fan who caused a disturbance near the residence of Jungkook, a member of global K-pop group BTS, has been booked by police on charges related to stalking.
According to police on January 4, a woman in her 30s of Brazilian nationality was taken into custody around 2:50 p.m. after appearing near Jungkook’s home in Yongsan District, Seoul. She has been booked without detention for violating South Korea’s Anti-Stalking Act.

Authorities stated that the woman caused a disturbance by throwing mail, hanging photos on railings, and leaving written messages near the property. Investigations revealed that this was not her first offense.
The same individual was previously arrested in mid-December for trespassing at the same location. She reportedly returned again later that month, prompting Jungkook’s side to formally request a restraining order.
Police are currently investigating the full circumstances of the case and whether additional violations occurred.
The incident has raised renewed concerns over celebrity safety and the serious consequences of obsessive fan behavior, highlighting the importance of protecting artists’ privacy and personal security.
