BTS has officially fired the starting signal for its long awaited group comeback, choosing Seoul as the first place to begin promotions and reaffirming the group’s cultural roots before expanding its message globally.
On January 5, BTS unveiled an offline promotional installation at the central staircase of Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, one of Korea’s most symbolic cultural landmarks. The installation features the group’s name, the logo of its upcoming album, and the official release date quietly but powerfully announcing BTS’s return in the heart of the city.

A Deliberate Return to Where It All Began
BigHit Music explained the decision behind the Korea first rollout on January 6.
“BTS began in Korea and grew into a group that performs on the global stage,” the agency said. “As this marks their first full group comeback in a long time, we wanted to begin offline promotions in Seoul, the cultural foundation that shaped BTS.”
By selecting Sejong Center often associated with national arts, history, and performance BTS framed its comeback not as a spectacle, but as a statement: a return to origins before stepping forward again.
A Logo That Started the Conversation
Prior to the public installation, BTS had already revealed the new album logo through handwritten letters sent directly to fans worldwide, offering a personal first look before any formal announcement. Since then, fans have actively analyzed the logo’s symbolism, sharing interpretations that connect BTS’s past narrative with its future direction. Rather than immediate explanations, the group appears to be allowing the imagery to speak for itself an approach consistent with BTS’s history of layered storytelling.

Global Expansion to Follow
While Seoul marks the starting point, the promotion will soon expand beyond Korea. According to sources, BTS plans to roll out outdoor advertisements in major global cities, including New York, Tokyo, and London, reinforcing the album’s worldwide scope.
Industry observers note that the staggered rollout local first, global next reflects BTS’s confidence in its identity. Rather than racing to dominate global headlines, the group is grounding its comeback in meaning and place.
First Full-Group Album in Nearly Four Years
BTS will release its fifth full length album on March 20, marking its first full-group comeback in approximately three years and nine months. The album will feature 14 tracks, and the agency has described it as “BTS’s narrativeand a message to fans.” While details about the music remain under wraps, expectations are high for an album that reflects maturity, reflection, and reconnection both among the members and with ARMY worldwide.
World Tour Plans Confirmed
Following the album’s release, BTS will embark on a large scale world tour, their first since ‘BTS Permission to Dance On Stage’ concluded in Las Vegas in April 2022. This will mark a four year gap between tours.
Details regarding tour dates and locations will be announced on January 14 at midnight (KST), setting the stage for what is expected to be one of the most anticipated global tours in recent years.
