Singer G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong) is preparing to meet fans through a fan meeting scheduled for February.

According to an exclusive report by iMBC Entertainment on January 6, G-Dragon is currently in the final stages of planning a fan meeting with the goal of holding the event next month. While detailed information regarding the venue and schedule has yet to be announced, preparations are actively underway.

G-Dragon has largely focused on concerts and world tours throughout his solo career rather than fan meetings. He launched his first solo world tour ONE OF A KIND in 2013, marking his entry into the global touring circuit. This was followed by the large-scale ACT III: M.O.T.T.E WORLD TOUR in 2017, which spanned Asia, North America, and Europe, further cementing his position as a global solo artist.

More recently, G-Dragon released his full-length album Übermensch in 2025 and embarked on the G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch]. The tour began in March in Goyang, South Korea, and continued across Asia, Oceania, North America, and Europe. It concluded with encore concerts at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome in December.

Notably, despite his long career, G-Dragon has never held a formal fan meeting under his own name. During his time with BIGBANG, fan meetings were held as group events, with the last official BIGBANG fan meeting taking place in 2016 under the title Fantastic Babys. Although G-Dragon briefly greeted fans following his military discharge in 2019, that occasion was considered an informal fan event rather than a structured fan meeting.

As such, the upcoming February event is expected to mark G-Dragon’s first official solo fan meeting, making it a meaningful opportunity for direct fan interaction following years of tour-focused activities. The move also aligns with a broader industry trend in which artists hold fan meetings after completing major tour cycles to reconnect with supporters in a more personal setting.

Further details are expected to be announced soon.

Editor’s Insight

The announcement and subsequent execution of G-DRAGON’s ‘FAM+ILY’ (FAM I LOVE YOU) fan meeting in February 2026 marks a transformative shift in his 20-year career. By choosing a 360-degree open stage at the KSPO DOME (February 6–8), G-Dragon successfully pivoted from the “Untouchable Icon” persona of his Übermensch world tour to a more grounded, “Family-centric” identity. Drawing over 40,000 fans across three days in Seoul alone, the event proved his cross-generational Topical Authority, uniting “President of Kids” teenage fans with long-time followers from the BIGBANG era.

From a strategic perspective, the “FAM-Only” exclusive ticketing through NOL Ticket and b.stage served as a high-value reward for his core membership, creating an intentional barrier against scalpers while fostering a sense of “elite belonging.” The inclusion of popular YouTuber Mimiminu as the MC further localized the event’s appeal, bridging the gap between G-Dragon’s high-fashion image and the playful, digital-first culture of his younger fanbase.

As the tour expanded to Yokohama (Pia Arena MM) and Bangkok (BITEC) later in the month, G-Dragon demonstrated that his “Solo Fan Meeting” brand is as commercially viable as a full-scale concert tour. By prioritizing “Dialogue and Interaction” over pure spectacle—recreating intimate moments like the “WHO YOU?” set—he has established a new 2026 blueprint for legacy idols: Authentic Vulnerability as the ultimate premium experience.
