Girl group ILLIT has become the target of a serious privacy violation involving the illegal leak of members’ flight information, prompting their agency to announce firm legal action.
On January 9, Belift Lab released an official statement via Weverse, revealing that several ILLIT members were exposed to stalking and direct threats after their private travel details were unlawfully obtained and circulated in real time.

Flight Information Changed Yet Stalkers Still Appeared
According to the agency, the incident occurred after ILLIT completed an overseas official schedule and returned to Korea for personal commitments. Belift Lab stated that they had already detected signs of information leakage and, as a precautionary measure, changed the departure airport and flight schedule shortly before boarding to ensure the members’ safety.
Crucially, the updated flight details were shared only with the artists themselves and a very limited number of staff members. Despite this, multiple individuals appeared at the altered airport location, indicating that the revised information had also been leaked.
Members Approached and Threatened
Belift Lab described the situation as escalating beyond simple tracking. The agency revealed that the individuals involved approached the members directly, attempted to initiate conversations, and even criticized the members’ mask-wearing, while demanding photographs against the artists’ wishes. The agency stressed that these actions constituted clear threats to the artists’ personal safety, emphasizing that the intrusion went far beyond acceptable fan behavior.
Investigation and Legal Action Underway
In response, Belift Lab confirmed it has formally requested cooperation from the relevant airline to review access logs and records related to the leaked flight information. The company is also continuously collecting evidence against those involved in the stalking behavior. “We will pursue legal responsibility under a strict zero tolerance policy,” the agency stated, adding that no settlements or leniency will be considered.
Agency Reiterates Commitment to Artist Safety
Belift Lab underscored that it has repeatedly warned against illegal acquisition of personal information and unapproved appearances at private schedules. However, given the severity of this incident, the company stated it could no longer tolerate such actions.
The agency concluded by reaffirming its commitment to protecting ILLIT and ensuring the members can continue their activities in a safe environment. Fans were also encouraged to report any related information that could aid ongoing investigations.
