Joining a Proven Cast for Season 2

Crash first premiered in May 2024 and made headlines as Korea’s first drama to focus on traffic crime investigations. The series follows the Traffic Crime Investigation (TCI) team as they pursue criminals operating on the road, combining fast-paced action with procedural tension.

Season 2 will retain its core cast, including Lee Min-ki, Kwak Sun-young, and Heo Sung-tae, while welcoming Jisung as a new addition. The drama is also set to reunite with director Park Jun-woo, who led the first season.

A Rookie With Strength and Hidden Scars

In the upcoming season, Jisung will portray Ji Dae-se, the youngest member of the TCI team. His character stands out for his tall frame, clean-cut visuals, and reputation as the team’s “traffic division idol.” Trained in martial arts such as taekwondo and hapkido, Ji Dae-se excels in physical action but carries unresolved emotional wounds beneath his confident exterior.

The role is expected to showcase both Jisung’s physical strengths and his ability to convey emotional depth, offering viewers a new side of the artist.

Returning to Acting Roots

Although this marks his first acting project since debuting with NCT DREAM in 2016, Jisung is no stranger to the screen. Before becoming an idol, he appeared as a child actor in notable productions, including the drama Deep Rooted Tree and the film Unbowed.

With Crash Season 2, Jisung returns to acting after nearly a decade, making this project a meaningful milestone in his career.

High Expectations for the New Season

Crash Season 1 ranked as the third highest-rated drama in ENA’s history, earning praise for its gripping narrative, intense investigations, and lack of romantic subplots. Its success positioned the series as a standout within the crime genre.

Filming for Season 2 is scheduled to begin next month, with anticipation building around how Jisung’s new character will integrate into the established team dynamic.

As Jisung steps into this next chapter, fans and viewers alike are watching closely to see how the NCT DREAM member evolves from idol to actor on a major drama stage.
