K-pop icon G-Dragon has once again demonstrated his global influence, becoming the only Korean artist to be invited for a second consecutive year to France’s renowned “Yellow Coins” charity event.

A Rare Honor for a Korean Artist

G-Dragon is set to perform on January 22 (local time) at Paris La Défense Arena, one of Europe’s largest indoor venues. His appearance was personally invited by Brigitte Macron, who also serves as chair of the hospital foundation behind the event.

This marks G-Dragon’s second year in a row participating in the charity concert, a distinction not shared by any other Korean artist and a testament to his growing recognition beyond music and fashion.

What Is the “Yellow Coins” Charity Event?

The “Yellow Coins” charity event is organized by France’s hospital foundation Pièces Jaunes and is one of the country’s most well-known philanthropic initiatives. The annual event raises funds to support children’s hospitals and mental health care programs for adolescents, focusing on improving treatment environments and long-term care facilities.

Deeply aligned with the event’s mission, G-Dragon reportedly accepted the invitation without hesitation, expressing strong support for initiatives that protect children’s health and emotional well-being.

Spreading Positive Influence Through Music

By taking part in this year’s charity concert, G-Dragon aims to share a message of hope and solidarity with audiences around the world. His participation underscores how music can transcend borders and serve as a powerful vehicle for social good.

The concert will take place on January 22, with the full performance scheduled to be broadcast later on January 30 via France’s national terrestrial television channel France 2, allowing global viewers to witness the event.

Upcoming Fan Meeting in Seoul

Alongside his international activities, G-Dragon is also preparing to meet fans at home. He will hold his first-ever solo fan meeting since debut from February 6 to 8 at KSPO Dome in Seoul’s Olympic Park, marking another milestone in his career.

From global charity stages in Paris to sold-out fan events in Seoul, G-Dragon continues to expand his influence—not only as a trendsetter and artist, but as a figure of meaningful global impact.
