BLACKPINK’s “JUMP” Earns RIAA Gold Certification Ahead of Full-Group Comeback

BLACKPINK is heating up the global stage once again this time with an official RIAA Gold certification in the United States.

On January 15 (local time), the Recording Industry Association of America announced via its official website that BLACKPINK’s digital single JUMP surpassed 500,000 units in the U.S., qualifying the track for Gold status.

Streaming Power Secures Gold Without a Physical Release

Notably, “JUMP” achieved the milestone without a physical album release. Under RIAA standards, certifications are calculated by combining physical sales, paid downloads, and audio/video streaming figures. In this case, “JUMP” reached the equivalent of 75 million streams, meeting the Gold threshold purely through digital performance.

The achievement highlights BLACKPINK’s continued dominance in the streaming era and their ability to generate major results without traditional release strategies.

Global Certifications Across Major Markets

“JUMP” isn’t stopping in the U.S. The track has also collected multiple certifications worldwide:

  • Platinum certification from Music Canada
  • Platinum single certification in France from SNEP after surpassing 30 million streams
  • Additional Gold certifications in Australia, Belgium, New Zealand, and the Netherlands

These accolades further reinforce BLACKPINK’s unmatched reach across North America, Europe, and Oceania.

Chart Longevity Confirms Global Impact

Beyond certifications, “JUMP” continues to post impressive chart performances. The song became the fastest K-pop girl group track to exceed 300 million streams on Spotify, and has now climbed past 470 million total streams.

On the Billboard Hot 100, “JUMP” remained charted for 10 consecutive weeks, setting a new personal best for the group. It has also held steady for 26 weeks on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts, underscoring its long-term global appeal.

Momentum Builds Toward “DEADLINE”

The success of “JUMP” comes just weeks before BLACKPINK’s highly anticipated return. The group is set to release their third mini album, DEADLINE, on February 27, marking their first full-group album release in more than three years since BORN PINK.

With “JUMP” continuing to break records and earn international recognition, BLACKPINK’s comeback momentum is unmistakable and all signs point to another era-defining chapter for the global K-pop icons.
