Danielle, formerly of NewJeans, has spoken publicly for the first time since her departure from the group, sharing an emotional letter addressed to fans amid an ongoing legal dispute with her former agency, ADOR.

On January 16, Danielle posted a handwritten style message on her social media, describing it as a letter she had been unable to share until now. Addressed to Bunnies, NewJeans’ fandom, the message reflects on loss, gratitude, and her enduring bonds with the members she once promoted alongside.

“They Are My Second Family”

“Letting go of the time we shared isn’t easy,” Danielle wrote. “But I want to gently put the past down for a moment and focus on what truly matters our hearts, our dreams, and the warmer days ahead.” She thanked fans for standing by her through uncertainty, saying their support gave her strength during moments when she struggled to hold on.

Most notably, Danielle reaffirmed her connection to the remaining members of NewJeans Minji, Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein describing them as her “second family.”

“Even if our timing and circumstances have shifted, nothing can break the bond we share,” she wrote. “It’s a once in a lifetime connection that should never be taken for granted.” The message suggests that while they may no longer stand together publicly, their emotional ties remain intact. She also acknowledged the confusion and concern fans may be feeling, adding, “I can’t explain everything right now, but one thing is certain where my heart stands has not changed.”

Legal Dispute Continues

Danielle’s message comes as ADOR continues legal action following her contract termination. In December, the agency confirmed the return of Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein, while discussions with Minji were ongoing. Danielle, however, was formally notified of her contract termination. ADOR has since filed lawsuits seeking penalties and damages related to her departure, including claims involving her family member and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin. The total amount being sought reportedly reaches ₩43.1 billion.

Looking Forward

Despite the legal and emotional weight of the situation, Danielle ended her letter on a hopeful note. “Difficult moments aren’t impossible they just take more time,” she wrote. “I’ll keep moving toward my dreams and toward happiness, for myself and for those I love.”

For fans, her words offered clarity on one point above all else: whatever lies ahead, Danielle’s bond with her former members and her gratitude to Bunnies remains unshaken.
