Rookie boy group TWS has firmly established its presence in Japan, securing the No. 2 spot on Oricon’s 2025 Year-End “New Artist” Ranking, the highest position achieved by any overseas artist this year. According to Oricon, which recently released its 2025 Annual Rankings, TWS placed second in the Artist Sales category (Newcomer Ranking). The chart aggregates total revenue from physical albums, digital singles, and streaming, offering a comprehensive view of an artist’s commercial performance in the Japanese market.
TWS recorded approximately 10.7 billion yen (roughly 100 billion KRW) in total sales over the past year, underscoring the group’s rapid rise and strong purchasing power among Japanese fans.

A Strong Start With Their Japanese Debut
The group officially debuted in Japan in July 2025 with their first single, ‘Nice to See You Again (はじめまして)’. The release made an immediate impact, debuting at No. 1 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart during its first week. The single has since surpassed 250,000 copies shipped in Japan alone, earning a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). The achievement marked an early signal that TWS’s appeal extended well beyond their domestic base.
Touring and Festival Presence Cement Popularity
Beyond record sales, TWS successfully translated their momentum into live performances. The group held its first Japan tour, ‘24/7:WITH:US in Japan’, performing 13 shows across six cities and drawing a combined audience of approximately 50,000 fans. Their visibility further expanded through appearances at major Japanese music events, including Rock in Japan Festival 2025, COUNTDOWN JAPAN 25/26, and Fuji TV’s year-end special ‘2025 FNS Music Festival’ platforms typically reserved for well established acts.
Digital Reach Continues to Grow
TWS’s influence is also evident online. The group recently surpassed 100 million monthly listeners on YouTube Music, placing them among the top tier K-pop boy groups globally in terms of digital reach.
