ZICO and Crush have officially reunited, releasing their new collaborative single ‘Yin and Yang’ and reminding listeners why their partnership remains one of the most compelling in Korean hip hop and R&B.
The track was released at midnight on January 16 (KST) across major global music platforms. ‘Yin and Yang’ was first introduced through Mnet’s ‘Show Me the Money 12,’ where the two artists unveiled the song during the program’s producer cypher segment, quickly drawing attention for its raw energy and musical balance.

A True Co-Production
‘Yin and Yang’ stands out as a fully joint effort. ZICO and Crush both participated in lyrics, composition, and arrangement, creating a track that feels intentionally balanced true to its title. Over a dense, minimal beat, ZICO delivers grounded, confident rap verses while Crush counters with smooth, melodic vocals, forming a contrast that feels both effortless and deliberate.
Lyrically, the song reflects a mindset of staying composed and self-assured amid harsh realities. Lines such as “Burn lights / Dark side” evoke a freestyle-like atmosphere, emphasizing attitude over narrative and capturing the artists’ shared philosophy of resilience without pretension.

Viral Momentum Ahead of Release
Before its official drop, ‘Yin and Yang’ gained significant traction through a producer cypher video, which highlighted the pair’s studio chemistry. The clip surpassed 1 million views in just six days, becoming the most watched cypher video of the season and setting high expectations for the full release.
ZICO’s Dual Role Continues
Beyond the song itself, the release further spotlights ZICO’s influence as both an artist and a producer. Having previously led winning and runner-up teams in earlier seasons, ZICO once again joins ‘Show Me the Money 12’ as a producer, reinforcing his reputation as a hitmaker and mentor.
Meanwhile, ZICO continues his solo activities, with his ‘ZICO LIVE: Tokyo Drive’ concert scheduled for February 7 in Tokyo.
