Singer Hwasa delivered a defining moment in her career with her first ever solo concert, presenting a comprehensive showcase of her musical journey spanning 12 years since debut.

Hwasa held ‘2026 Hwasa Concert <Mi Casa>’ on January 17 and 18 at Kyung Hee University’s Peace Hall in Seoul, meeting fans for two nights of performances that reflected both her growth as an artist and her personal musical identity. The concert title, meaning “My Home,” symbolized a space where Hwasa fully unfolded her own world on stage.

Opening With Identity and Energy

The concert opened with ‘Hwasa,’ performed live with a band, immediately establishing the tone of the show. She followed with ‘I Love My Body’ and ‘Chili,’ delivering high energy performances that drew enthusiastic responses from the audience and highlighted her commanding stage presence. Throughout the setlist, Hwasa moved fluidly between genres and moods, reinforcing her reputation as a versatile performer unbound by a single style.

Reinvented Arrangements and Vocal Depth

One of the concert’s highlights was a special section featuring rearranged versions of familiar songs. Hwasa performed Shim Soo-bong’s ‘Only Love,’ Beyoncé’s ‘Fever,’ and ‘NA’ in jazz-inspired arrangements, capturing attention with her expressive phrasing and dynamic vocal control. Shifting seamlessly between restrained emotion and explosive power, she emphasized her strength as a vocalist capable of reinterpretation rather than repetition. Another standout moment came through orchestral collaborations. Songs such as ‘LMM,’ ‘Maria,’ and ‘Good Goodbye’ were reimagined with full orchestral accompaniment, adding grandeur and emotional weight that could only be experienced in a live concert setting.

A Performer at Her Peak

The latter half of the concert leaned into Hwasa’s bold performance identity. Tracks including ‘Twit,’ ‘Kidding,’ ‘EGO,’ and pop medleys featuring ‘DIVA’ and ‘Toxic’ showcased her confident, high-impact stage style. An encore medley of MAMAMOO’s hit songs further energized the venue, reminding fans of the foundation that shaped her career.

Words That Resonated

Between performances, Hwasa took time to speak directly to the audience. “This is my first solo concert since debut, and I don’t think people realize how much it took to stand on this stage,” she said, expressing gratitude for every fan who attended. Reflecting on her current popularity, she added, “I know how precious this moment is, and I know it won’t last forever. That’s why I’ll keep doing my job sincerely, no matter what.”

Her remarks were met with prolonged applause.
