First Tour Since 2019

This marks EXO’s first tour since December 2019, when the group held the encore concerts for ‘EXO PLANET #5 EXplOration [dot].’ The upcoming Seoul concerts come approximately six years and four months after their last tour appearance, making the announcement especially significant for longtime fans.

Following the Seoul dates, EXO will continue the tour across major cities in Asia, including Ho Chi Minh City, Nagoya, Bangkok, Macau, Osaka, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Tokyo, Kaohsiung, and Singapore.

Ticketing and Online Streaming

Details regarding ticket sales for the Seoul concerts will be announced later through EXO’s official fan community and social media channels. In addition to in-person performances, the concerts will also be available via Beyond LIVE and Weverse, allowing global fans to watch through live online streaming.

Tour Follows Successful Album Comeback

The tour announcement comes shortly after EXO’s return with their eighth full length album ‘Reverse,’ released on January 19. The album topped iTunes Top Albums charts in 46 regions worldwide and earned Triple Platinum certification on China’s QQ Music, surpassing 3 million yuan in sales. It also ranked No. 1 on multiple digital album sales charts.

EXO further dominated Tencent Music’s integrated K-pop chart, occupying positions No. 1 through No. 9, and secured top rankings across platforms including Kugou Music, Recochoku, AWA, and Hanteo Chart’s weekly album rankings.

A Major Chapter Ahead

With a new album already demonstrating strong global performance and a long-awaited tour now confirmed, ‘EXO PLANET #6 EXhOrizon’ is positioned as a major milestone in the group’s career.

EXO’s sixth world tour announcement feels less like a comeback and more like a recalibration of legacy.

A six-year gap in K-pop is significant enough to reset the industry itself, not just a group’s position within it. During that time, new generations have emerged, global touring strategies have evolved, and fan engagement has become increasingly digital-first. Yet EXO’s return shows that longevity in K-pop doesn’t rely on constant visibility, but on sustained cultural impact.

What makes this tour especially meaningful is the timing. Rather than returning with urgency, EXO is stepping back onto the global stage after reestablishing its musical presence with ‘Reverse.’ This sequencing suggests a deliberate strategy: rebuild identity first, then reconnect physically with fans.

There is also a broader industry implication. Veteran groups like EXO are no longer competing directly with newer acts on speed or volume. Instead, they operate on scale, loyalty, and accumulated narrative. A tour like ‘EXhOrizon’ isn’t just about performances it’s about reaffirming a bond that has endured through hiatus, military service, and shifting trends.

In that sense, this tour is not just a continuation.
It is a reminder that EXO’s story was never paused it was simply waiting for the right moment to expand again.
