Actor Lee Yi-kyung has become the center of controversy after a woman claimed he sent her sexually suggestive messages. His agency strongly denied the allegations, calling them “fabricated,” while the accuser admitted she once asked for money from his side but maintains that her claims are not false.
Allegations Surface Online
Earlier this week, a post titled “Revealing the Real Lee Yi-kyung” appeared on a personal blog. The author, identified as A, shared screenshots of alleged KakaoTalk and Instagram conversations with someone she claimed was the actor. The messages included sexual remarks and requests for photos, along with pictures showing the man’s face.
Although the identity of the person in the screenshots has not been verified, the post quickly spread online, leading to widespread speculation and debate.
Agency: “False Claims, Legal Action Planned”
Following the viral post, Lee Yi-kyung’s agency Sangyoung ENT issued an official statement on October 20, describing the allegations as “entirely false.”
“We are preparing legal action for the spread of false information and malicious rumors,” the agency stated. “The poster had previously sent a threatening email demanding money, and after we warned of legal consequences, she admitted to fabricating the story and sent an apology. However, she has recently reposted the same claims.”
Accuser Responds: “I Asked for Money Once, But Didn’t Receive Any”
In a follow-up post, the woman refuted the agency’s claims, acknowledging that she had once asked if they could give her money but insisting that she never received any payment.
“I had some financial issues and couldn’t ask my parents for help, so I asked if they could assist me,” she wrote. “But I didn’t get any money. The post I uploaded wasn’t to demand payment — I just didn’t want other women to go through the same experience.”
A also addressed criticism of her writing, explaining, “My Korean isn’t perfect because I’m actually German. I’ve studied Korean on my own for eight years. I’m not a scammer.”
She added that she didn’t expect the situation to grow so large and asked others not to invade her privacy.

Lee Yi-kyung debuted in the 2012 film White Night and rose to fame through dramas such as School 2013, Welcome to Waikiki, and Marry My Husband. In recent years, he has also appeared on popular variety programs including Hangout with Yoo, The Return of Superman, and I’m Solo.
As of now, both sides stand firm in their positions, and the dispute remains unresolved as legal proceedings are reportedly being prepared.
