A New OST Crafted by Kim Min-seok
On November 14, the production team of Typhoon Family announced that OST Part 6, titled “Wolf Star,” will be released on November 16 at 12 p.m. KST across major streaming platforms. Unlike a typical OST contribution, this track is especially meaningful: Kim Min Seok took part in both writing the lyrics and composing the music, embedding his own emotional perspective directly into the song.
A 90s-Inspired Rock Ballad With a Warm Message
“Wolf Star” is a comforting, heartfelt track that blends the nostalgic charm of 1990s rock ballads with Kim Min Seok’s gentle vocal delivery. The song carries a message of unwavering support the promise to become the brightest light guiding someone through life’s difficulties, no matter how challenging the world becomes. His involvement goes beyond performance. By shaping the lyrics and melody himself, Kim Min Seok channels sincerity and depth into the track, offering a musical interpretation of the emotional journey his character faces in the drama.
A Theme Built From Nam-mo’s Heart
In Typhoon Family, set against the backdrop of the 1997 IMF crisis, Kim Min Seok plays Nam-mo, the energetic and loyal best friend of protagonist Kang Tae-poong (played by Lee Junho). Nam-mo is bright, straightforward, and fiercely devoted especially when it comes to protecting Mi-ho (Kwon Han-sol), the woman he loves.
“Wolf Star” reflects these qualities. As the character’s theme song, it captures Nam-mo’s sincerity, his willingness to sacrifice, and the steadfast heart that drives his presence in the story. The OST will be previewed for the first time in the November 15 broadcast, heightening viewers’ anticipation.
Kim Min Seok’s Growing Momentum
Kim Min Seok continues to build impressive momentum across screens and genres. Earlier this year, he delivered successful performances in TVING’s hit series Shark: The Storm and the film Noise, scoring three consecutive hits including Typhoon Family. His steady rise as a “trust-worthy actor” has made him one of the most in-demand performers of 2025. He has also recently confirmed his appearance in SBS’s upcoming drama Brave New World, signaling that his career upswing is far from slowing down.
With “Wolf Star,” Kim Min Seok adds another chapter to his expanding artistic range not only as an actor but as a storyteller who can bring emotion to life both on screen and through music.
