Actor Chu Young-woo has officially been chosen as the male lead of ENA’s upcoming romance drama “Love Doctor”, marking a major collaboration with acclaimed director Ahn Pan-seok.
Industry insiders confirmed that Chu Young-woo will take on the role of Min-jae, a former swimming athlete whose life changed after losing his left leg due to osteosarcoma. After hitting rock bottom, Min-jae discovers robotics and, through sheer determination, earns admission to Seoul National University’s mechanical engineering department on his fourth attempt.
While he appears calm and resilient on the outside, Min-jae carries a quiet longing — completing a personal bucket list that includes “falling in love.” His emotional complexity and understated vulnerability are expected to become the heart of the drama.
Kim So-hyun to Join as the Female Lead
The female lead, Yoo Jin, will be played by Kim So-hyun, as previously reported.
