NiziU has officially returned with a new sound that speaks directly to the heart of Gen Z. JYP Entertainment confirmed on the 19th that the group has released their third full-length Japanese album, “New Emotion,” marking their first full-album comeback in over two years.
The release features a total of 14 tracks, blending newly crafted songs with beloved hits, and highlighting a more mature, emotionally layered side of the group. The title track “Love Emotion” introduces a modern take on young love the kind of digital-age crush that unfolds through DMs, timelines, and late-night scrolling.

A Soundtrack for Digital-Age Romance
At the center of the album is “Love Emotion,” a song that captures the nervous excitement of approaching someone online. With its relatable storytelling and breezy melodies, the track reflects the emotional landscape of a generation raised on social media where affection is expressed through likes, replies, and hesitation.
The album also includes fresh tracks such as “Come On Over,” “That’s Me,” “Tip-Top,” and “Happy Day,” alongside fan favorites like “Yoake,” “Shining Day,” “Rise Up,” “Believe,” “Love Line,” and “There Is No If.” Together, these songs form a cohesive portrait of youth: hopeful, awkward, confident, and endlessly expressive.
Special Unit Tracks Written by the Members
Adding more depth to the album are three unit songs, each directly written or conceptualized by the members.
Mako, Mayuka, and Rima deliver “Villain,” a dark, charismatic track that showcases their edgier musical color. Riku, Ayaka, and Miihi wrote “Fairy Magic,” a whimsical song overflowing with sweetness and airy pop charm. Rio, Maya, and Nina present “Too Much,” an upbeat anthem of confidence that encourages listeners to embrace being unapologetically themselves.
The unit tracks highlight NiziU’s growing artistry and offer a glimpse into the members’ personal tastes and creative identities.
A Long-Awaited Comeback & Ongoing Tour
“New Emotion” marks NiziU’s first studio album release since “Coconut” in July 2023, ending a two-year and four-month wait for fans. The group is currently performing their Japanese tour, “New Emotion: Face to Face,” which will conclude with a highly anticipated finale at Tokyo’s Budokan on November 22–23.
With a matured sound, stronger storytelling, and a full lineup of genre-rich tracks, NiziU is set to open a new chapter one that speaks directly to the hearts of fans growing up in the same digital world they sing about.
