BIGBANG’s G-Dragon has donated 1 million Hong Kong dollars (approximately ₩188.7 million KRW) to aid victims of the tragic apartment fire in Hong Kong.
On November 29, Galaxy Corporation announced that G-Dragon made the contribution to support the emotional and psychological recovery of residents affected by the massive fire at the Wang Fuk Court apartment complex in Tai Po.

Donation Directed Toward Firefighters and Rescue Volunteers
G-Dragon contributed the funds to the Support Fund for Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, a relief fund established by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to gather donations for disaster response.
According to the agency, he specifically requested that his donation be used to help firefighters and volunteer rescuers who have been working tirelessly in rescue and recovery operations.
Justice Foundation to Continue Cross-Border Support Efforts
The Justice Foundation, where G-Dragon serves as honorary chairman, plans to continue cooperating with local Hong Kong organizations. The foundation will share its expertise in psychological care for firefighters and disaster responders — an area it has been actively developing.
A representative from the foundation explained:
“Through a message of collective recovery, we hope to show solidarity that transcends borders.
We support the people of Hong Kong in healing from this disaster through the power of art.”
Supporting First Responders Through Art Therapy
Since June, the Justice Foundation has been operating “Hero Recovery,” an art-therapy project designed to help uniformed public servants — especially firefighters — recover emotionally from climate-related disasters such as wildfires.
G-Dragon’s donation has drawn praise online, with many recognizing the artist’s consistent commitment to social causes and mental-health support initiatives for first responders both in Korea and abroad.
